Set in the northern part of Sonora Mexico, we are cast into a world of fear, power, corruption, in a battle for the essential resources which are more valuable than money: water… horses… a good woman… and a Colt .45.

Our title character is a young and unwelcome American interloper south of the
border. All he wants is to take back the gold that was stolen from him by some
marauding bandidos, and get back north. It doesn’t quite work out like he planned. And so is born the legend of “El Gringo.”

A cinematic journey into betrayal and greed that threatens to upset the delicate balance of power between three rival landowners, rich grandees all, whose lives will be forever changed – or cut short – by a fearless young Yankee.
Deep emotional themes – loyalty, honor, love, revenge – drive our title character in his new found world, setting him on course to redemption.

Ep3: Black Sombrero

Lillian Harrison is back as a rich Texan lady and she hires Milo Quesada, known only as “El Sordo”, the deaf one, to “recover” her husband, who seems to have been abducted with a large sum of money. Lillian insists on going with him, searching deep into Mexico. El Sordo begins to wonder what the true nature of the mission is once the lady tries to seduce him. When they finally locate the missing husband, a surprise lies in wait – for the lady and for El Sordo.

‘…In the mid-1870s Morgan Kane disappeared, apparently without any trace. The Texas Rangers’ report points to the possibility that he might have crossed the border to Mexico. When two years later he showed up again in Texas, he seemed to be a radically changed man. Up to then he had never had any run-ins with the law, but numerous reports of the time he returned to Texas after two years of absence, show that he was no longer only a ‘desperado’, but a fully developed gunman. It is obvious to support Lt. Williams’ assumption that the two years in Mexico were the decisive factor in this development. There is no proof that Morgan Kane really had been in Mexico. Neither federales nor guardia civil have any records of him for that period. The Mexican authorities have, however, provided us with information about a person who, at the time, stayed in Sonora, and in Chihuahua, a person Mexican peons have given the veils of a legend. This man was known as EL GRINGO – or ‘The White One’. It is tempting to identify Morgan Kane as EL GRINGO. It is clear that EL GRINGO might be the answer to Morgan Kane’s personal development. EL GRINGO is called bandido and pistolero in the legend. The legend contains very few facts and it is difficult to find out who EL GRINGO really was, or what he represented. The Commission hopes the time will come when what really happened in Sonora will be clear. This is of considerable interest; it will throw light on the character of Morgan Kane, explain his known disgust with people, his angry nature, his need for alcohol and his unorthodox ways of working. The strange thing about the EL GRINGO legend is that it is similar to the story of a certain EL COYOTE who at that time was one of the most notorious and feared pistoleros and bandidos in Sonora. If there is a connection between these two personalities, then much can be explained. If…’
